Theeeeee audacity! That’s what Living Single fans (like us!) are saying after an audaciously ashy, abyss-dwelling group of mouth breathers had the nerve to dub the cast of the beloved ’90s sitcom “unattractive.”
Now, the uproar has gotten so loud that one of the show’s stars has entered the chat.

Earlier this week, the hosts of The Views From The 7 podcast sparked backlash after a convo they had about Living Single went viral across Black social media.

“No one watched Living Single and said they are attractive,” one of the men said. “You didn’t say they was ugly, but nobody say they was attractive.
“They weren’t Girlfriends,” added another.
Another one on the panel also called out Maxine Shaw’s “Mystikal braids” as the group wondered how men were choosing to date the character played by Erika Alexander.
As you can imagine, the group has been dragged across Al Gore’s Internet as people came to the defense of the Queen, Kim Fields, Kim Coles and Erika Alexander.
HelloBeautiful reports that one Reddit commenter described the cast on the beloved sitcom as “real everyday people,” adding that their relatability was likely part of the show’s appeal. Others immediately started naming their favorites, with Maxine, Regine, and Khadijah getting love throughout the discussion.
KevOnStage also joined the online conversation, and in his comments, Kim Fields, who portrayed Regine Hunter on the Fox sitcom, weighed in.
“Da Fuq?!” she wrote, much to the delight of fellow commenters who wondered where the group garnered the audacity to weigh in on anyone’s looks.
As you can imagine, these “podcasters” have been getting draaaaaaaagged within an inch of their musty microphones.
